North Carolina is full of hidden gems. One of my favorites is the Pocosin Arts Folk School<\/a> in Columbia. Located on the banks of the Scuppernong River, Pocosin is a wonderful place to teach a workshop and the students who attend are always hungry to learn. It was a pleasure to “feed” them this weekend while teaching my workshop,\u00a0All Sewn Up<\/em><\/a>.
\nI met a great cadre of resident artists and we had a ton of fun improvising after we learned that the Chinese food place forgot to give us cookies. Also on our agenda was a lunchtime visit to the Full Circle Crab Company<\/a>, whose scallop kabobs and fried okra are out of this world.<\/p>\n
